I’ve been a chiropractor for 35 years, but my connection to chiropractic started long before that. I’ve been getting adjusted since I was 7 years old. As a kid, I struggled with asthma and was sick often, and it was actually my judo instructor, a student of Palmer, who first suggested chiropractic care for our family. Not long after, we saw firsthand just how powerful it could be when my mom, who had frequent ear infections, had her hearing restored through consistent adjustments. I was also a gymnast for many years, so chiropractic care became a regular part of my life early on. It wasn’t just something I did when something was wrong; it was part of how I stayed well. After starting my career in Davenport, Iowa, I eventually made my way to Irving, where I’ve now been serving the community for 31 years. In 1998, I had the opportunity to purchase the practice, and it’s been an incredible journey ever since. Chiropractic might seem like a small thing to some, but I’ve seen over and over again how life-changing it can be. I truly believe people deserve access to chiropractic care so they can live happier, healthier, and more productive lives. For me, it’s the foundation of health. When your nervous system is strong, everything else has a better chance to function the way it’s supposed to. There are many factors that play a role in overall health, but chiropractic is the foundation I stand on, personally and professionally. I get adjusted at least once a week; it’s essential for me. This work is physical, mental, and emotional, and staying aligned helps me show up as the best version of myself for my family, my grandkids, and my patients.
